How get this person to stop calling me?

I have been getting called from a person named David Becker who has all of my personal information. He said that i took out a payday loan in 2007 and the a bank called US national bank is sending me to court for fraud. Now I have taken out payday loans but have paid them back. I did a research on the number that he tells me to call him back on and it comes out that I am calling that person back in New York he has a heavy indian accent and he is threatning me to send me to court and have me prosecuted if I dont pay $875.00 dollars by this friday. I have a feeling that this is a scam but I dont know what to do or how to get him to stop calling me and getting him not to do anything with my personal information.

You need to contact the police, and seek their advice. You can also call the phone company and have the phone number blocked — but talk to the police first.

As with any debt he has to by law provide proof of said debt. Ask for a copy of the paperwork you signed, and don’t worry about court yet, keep a log of the calls, tell the judge you didn’t remember the debt and that you thought you might be getting scammed.

More often than not they have no intentions of taking it to court, it is a scare tactic. Advise him that you will not speak to him again until he comes up with proof of the debt. Give him no information at all.

    scam lol

but easy :) call the cops, they can sort it

they can track down numbers to houses, so they can stop him.
if he’s ringing you on a mobile you could always block the number but go to the cops, coz he’ll scam more people

Ok … first thing you need to do is pull a credit report.

Freeeeeee Credit Report dot come (everyone sing along!) … but seriously try there, or is another site that works.

Look at your credit report, see if there are any loans in default or outstanding loans showing with “US National Bank” … if not, he is lying.

Ask for all of his information, his phone number, mailing address, and name of supervisor.

Tell him that you will be getting a lawyer and need his information for the attorney.

If he is on the level, you will get all that info … if he is on the level you will really need to speak with an attorney about this anyways.

Well if you are sure you there is no way you could have taken out that payday loan then you could try scare him away by telling him that you will send him on court for heracement. If it’s a scam he will quit calling you if not then he has to prove in front of some people that you really did that which could be hard. Just don’t let him know you are scared cos if an infractor sees that he will know he can use it against you.

    Call the police and quickly.

It is a scam. But, the police has to know. Tell them the number. But, first call the numbe and when the person pcks up to say hello put down the phone. Make sure it is him.

I am sorry he is doing it to you, but you have to call the police and tell them about it.

You can’t get info from us. Lolz. Hope the police can figure it out!
